Winter Mornings & Christmas Shopping

Thursday, December 08, 2005

Well, its official....winter mornings are in full effect (even though its not quite winter yet). Its pretty difficult to get out of bed in the mornings, especially when the house is as cold as ours is. You get all huddled under the covers the night before and do your best to get your body heat to heat the covers. Then you nod off into your slumber and before you know it, the alarm is going off. About 4-5 "snooze slaps" later, you have to flip open the covers and the cold air bites at your feet as you sprint to the shower......in the dark, NO LIGHT COMING THROUGH THE WINDOWS?!! Oh please, Spring, hurry it up and get here -- we need warm days.

Today I begin, yes begin.....christmas shopping. I've really got no clue as to what to get anyone, even though I've been browsing ads and sales. I can't say that I've actually been SHOPPING, however when I'm out, I've been browsing. Time to quit the browsin' and get to shoppin'. Even Mel, I don't know what to get her. If anyone's got ideas, definitely toss 'em out there as I'm dreading this once again.

Off to the mall.....

I havent forgotten....

Okay...okay...I'm not neglecting this journal thing. I'm really not, its just that I dont lead that exciting of a life! Just kidding. I'll admit though, that not much has gone one lately. We went to a wedding reception on Saturday night, then hung out with the guys afterwards. Another cool thing to, is the Colts game that Mel & I went to today!

Colts vs. Titans -- now the Colts are 12-0 and its an awesome time around Indy. Mel's Uncle Kevin came across a few tickets for us and we went with her Aunt Debbie and her husband Steve. We met up with Kevin, Sherry and Stephanie who let Mel's cousin Tyler sit with them! It was a blast. The Colts won 35-3 and after the game we got to see alot of the players on their way out.

I got Jeff Saturday's autograph, brushed by Mike Vanderjagt, saw David Thornton, Ryan Diem, Bob Sanders, Larry Tripplett, Corey Simon, Tony Dungy and Bill Polian! How exciting is that!? Stephanie & Tyler ended up with a bunch of autographs and Tyler even caught Tight End Ben Utechts glove -- then got him to sign it!

Definitely an awesome time and a big thanks to Kevin, Sherry, and Stephanie for inviting us along and getting us the tickets.

Back to work I go tomorrow -- sure to be busy with only 2 weeks until Christmas....gotta get that shopping done! Well thats about it for now, so stay tuned -- hopefully I can get updated a little more often this week.
