The Prestige

Okay, I realize its been a while since I last posted. But, Mel & I watched a movie the other night & I've been telling people at work about it -- spreading it around my friends, so I figured I'd post about it cuz I like it that much.

I had seen the previews for it when it was new, but I never had the chance to get to the theater to watch it. It came via Blockbuster Online the other day & we watched it. The movie is The Prestige.

It stars Christian Bale (Batman Begins), Hugh Jackman (XMen), Scarlett Johansson (Match Point), & Michael Cain (Batman Begins). Its directed by Christopher Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins).

First of all, the cast really made me want to see the movie. My favorite movie is Batman Begins & most of the people involved with that are involved with this so that was money in the bank. But, the movie is mainly about two magicians who started out as friends, but then became rival magic acts. Each trying to expose the other by figuring out each other's tricks & trying to make them better for their own benefit.

Not really going for a full review here, but just wanting to let you all know that the movie was great because it had suspense, a sense of mystery, & at least for me, the ending shocked me! The Prestige will have you guessing & trying to figure it out. Plus, it was kinda neat to see how they did some of the tricks.
